A Fairly Brief Video Tour of Our New, Partially Re-Painted Home

Here is a brief, brief, brief tour of our new place mid-paint job.

I apologize for the weird skinny video thing. I shot this with my iPhone's native camera, because I couldn't get my other video app to load any of my videos.

And now I'm taping over my hand blisters so I can finish up the paint job and finally be done with the smoker's yellow walls so we can move into a beautiful home on Sunday.

Do you have any video app suggestions? I really like 8mm, but I want the option of recording without a filter.

Thanks!

I love the sound old wood floors make when walked upon! It is such a great place. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Oooh, pretty! When you said condo, that wasn't what I pictured at all. Your place has so much character! And I'm super jealous of the claw foot tub. I'd love to have one of those again.

Gorgeous condo! I'd love to know what neighbourhood you're in, out of curiosity (not creepiness, I swear).

Wow. Great place. And we have the same fridge, so I'll think of you when I go get a snack.

it looks lovely! i especially like those old paneled doors.

(next time, shoot with the iphone the other way...i've learned that the hard way!)

Such a great place. Can't wait to see what it looks like when you're done.

And... I don't have a video app suggestion... but you can get a full screen video with the regular in iPhone app if you just turn the phone sideways. Those little skinny videos are so annoying. It stinks when I forget to turn the phone and accidentally end up with a skinny movie.

It seems to have so much character! Enjoy!!

I love squeaky wood floors...just watching this brought back so many lovely memories. Good luck to you as you continue the transformation from house to home.

Your place is adorable. I love the hardwood floors and the doors and the registers...but I especially love the clawfoot tub. Have fun painting. Those burgundy walls are going to take a shit ton of Killz ( primer).

That is a beautiful, warm and inviting place you are making into a home. Once the paint is on (love the colours you have chosen) you and the Palinode are going to have so much fun dressing it up, mixing and matching colours and textures. Bravo and congratulations. xx

Smoker's yellow...that's a great name. You should start your own line.

What a beautiful space. The stained wood floors, trim, and doors give it so much warmth and character.

SNAZZY. Love the kitchen. The whole place is faaaabulous though. Totally my dream place!

Oooh. Also the fireplace. Many of the walls in our house are orange. It's kind of amazing how nice the orange is.

Someone else did the orange. A friend I had live here before we moved in. All his idea.

Then we picked blue (for soothing) and yellow (for happiness). And those colors don't work. But the orange seems to permanently work. Also, brown! He painted some walls brown and they are so great.

Have fun, anyway!

So charming! What an exciting time. By now, I imagine you're surrounded by boxes and probably could use 26 hours of sleep after the move yesterday. Good luck settling in. Congratulations.

Awesome Condo. Like the other commenter said, I'd give a kidney for your beautiful unpainted wood doors and trim. Beautiful.
That's an awful lot of square feet to paint--kudos to you both for the hard work.
The hard work will translate into pride of ownership for sure.
