Oh, I like this. And me too, for almost every one.
Yes. All of them. Every single one. Oh, except #9. They are my favorite. ;)
Reason #874 that I love you.
RE: 6 & 18, I think that, in general, anything going wrong with my body makes me feel vulnerable in a helpless sort of way. :/
- watching my parents age
- just missing a bus even though I ran for it
- not knowing where my husband is when he should have been home already
- hormones
Leaving my house. Definitely.
#3: I've recently started doing this. It just occurred to me the other day that it didn't really matter since I was all alone in the house any way. The downside to getting comfortable with this is that I may forget to shut the bathroom door while using the bathroom when other people are present in the house. I try not to do #3 very often.
Night time in my house with just my baby.
This is very insightful. And very enlightening to me. :)
I imagine hitting "publish" on this one made you feel plenty vulnerable too. You are brave, my friend.
-thinking about how fundamentalism shaped my childhood
-asserting myself in conflict situations
-dealing with men my own age now that I'm in my 40s
Wow, amazing list.
Yes, to everything on the list. You made me realize something I can't even put words to right at the moment.
