That's What She Said: It Costs Nothing to Be Kind
Friday, November 2, 2012 Leah Peterson, Kelly Wickham, and I bring you our second episode of That's What She Said, a video series in which we talk about what's on our minds and you like it.
This episode is dedicated to talking about what's most important to us. Not surprisingly, we all agree that it's food.

PS. We're $1168 away from my 40th birthday Charity: Water goal to give 40 people access to clean water by December 29th. 100% of the money donated goes to digging wells — administrative costs are covered by private donors — so it's money extremely well spent. Help us get there!

I strongly connect with what you said, Élan. Encouraging voice through writing is one of the reasons I became a teacher. Now, I just need to teach myself. ;)
Something that struck me here: when talking about what's important to you, you're all asking, "what does someone need from me?" and "how can I help?" rather than focusing on you (a theme that seems to be hitting me from all over the place). It's really refreshing.
"You're going to be really surprised with what the world can do with you, if you just present the world with yourself." I need a poster of your quote.
Very cool video, ladies. :)
YOu three are so powerful, amazing, and inspiring. I love this. And I'm crying.
Thank you for starting this up. I hope many are watching.

Wait, I wasn't being skeptical about the Charity Water, was I? I wasn't being one of those jerks!!!
In my defense let me say I give money every single month to these two outfits:
http://www.pih.org/
http://rightsaction.org/
So I was not questioning the idea of giving generally, I SWEAR. Just I had wondered about that Charity Water because they were beaucoup marketed and I was curious about that. Also, the people who run it --because they are from the corporate world. 'Tis all.
It does seem like a good outfit.
Anyway, there's too much interesting stuff in here for me to even comment about it. Hello, brilliant ladies. I am trying to refrain from comparing you to other talking blogger enterprises and say how lame they are compared to you and sort of succeeding. Also saying something shallow about how pretty you all are on camera!
Please do this more. This was crazy deep.
