Wednesday, July 1, 2009 1. A long walk with friends through Waterfall Park
2. Joy in the absurd when I stood at the top of a waterfall and yelled "Portuguese makes me angry!" (The Palinode is learning Portuguese right now and insists on speaking it to me sometimes without translation.)
3. Fireworks so bright that I could see the smoke dissipating against the sky
4. Back alleys
5. Virginia creeper

virginia creeper is only awesome if you're not the one who has to constantly trim it... seriously, i worry that if i sit in the sun long enough, it will curl its little tendrils around my chair and pull me into the depths of my deck...
it's easy to see how entire mayan cities were completely camouflaged. Maybe in a thousand years they'll discover my back deck, or my lost flip flops....
i'm just kidding... even with all that, it's still pretty awesome.
