Grace In Small Things: Part 121 of 365

1. I figured out where one of the cats had peed and tried to hide it.

2. The cat peed in a garbage bag behind a door, which is pretty considerate of him if he's going to be doing that anywhere other than the litter box.

3. He also peed on something ugly that I've been wanting to find an excuse to get rid of for a long time, so he was doubly considerate.

4. I'm slowly learning to clean the litter boxes more often, which is good for everyone concerned.

5. That same cat only bit me once today, which means that he's slowly learning what's good for everyone concerned, as well.

Wage a battle against embitterment and take part in Grace in Small Things.

Yikes. Sorry about the cat pee and the bite. I've learned (well only from my own experience) that my cats will only pee outside the litter box when they are trying to tell me something. Sometimes it is that they are sick (I am thankful my male cat did this one time because he had blood in his urine and I never would have noticed if he had done it in the litterbox). But more often, it is just that they want a cleaner box. I can't blame them. After all, we humans tend to flush after every use ourselves. ;) Now I scoop boxes every other day at least and do complete litter changes every other week, adding in litter as needed between changes(we have two indoor cats and two boxes). Anyway, I'm glad it was on something you didn't like.
