Grace In Small Things: Part 82 of 365

1. I didn't burn the house down.

2. The Palinode bought a new electric kettle to replace the stovetop kettle I destroyed, and he barely made fun of me, despite the fact that I have destroyed our last three kettles.

3. I didn't break the cat when I stepped on him.

4. The cat still likes me.

5. Even on days when it's freaking hard to see the good side, it is getting easier and easier to find five things to take joy in.

Wage a battle against embitterment and take part in 365 days of Grace in Small Things.

I destroy pots and pans and kettles too. It is part of our charm.

I think I just got an idea to burn my kettle up in order to get a new one!

Shhh do not tell anyone... and the cat still loves you - taht is good news! Mine tends to hold a grudge.

I've had similar days.

1. But it sure was smokey.

2. I did that to a toaster once.

3. Ditto. Also, for when I stepped on the other one.

4. Ditto.

5. This part is still difficult for me.
