January 2009's Masthead

I hate to see it go, but I must say goodbye to December 2008's masthead:
2008 December masthead

I promised myself that I would change it every month, some people have expressed a fear of December's clown theme, and it is the new year, so it is only fitting to change it over to something fresh, like farting rhinoceroses bearing food for a small band of merry revelers.

N'est-ce pas?

I like the new one. The clowns were freaking me out and I'm glad they are gone.

You really have a talent in this. Although, the clown one is still... uh, my favorite. I would love to hear a little bit of the inside scoop on your working process. Are you using Illustrator or Photoshop? Are these images specific "clipart?" Do you start with a concept or does it just come about naturally from materials you gather that you like? How do you decide on what font looks best with the graphics?

Ooo. Purdy. Farts and all.

Where the hell do you find this stuff?

Classic...yet...humorous. And yes, I often felt that the clown was looking right at me.

Yes, clowns creep me out. And, now that I think of it, bodybuilders do, too. But farting rhinos? I'm in love.
