I like this list, and I admire that you're doing this every day. I am not diligent enough to post every day, so at least reading yours helps me remember to think about the things I would be writing about if I weren't too lazy. :-)

Just wanted to say yours was one of the most thoughtful articles written about Ryan Adams since his original (now removed) blog post. I read, but don't post at, his fan boards and some of the responses were just brutal.

The Brown Shelled Egg

yes and why is this such an exquisite thing? I don't even really like eggs but a brown shelled egg makes me want to cup it in my hands and gaze at it. It makes me think of childhood, of those enid blyton stories that seemed so marvellous at the time and then about four years ago when i tried to read some to my nephews i realised that actually that were quite horrible...but the egg has remained perfect.
