I Want You To Know Two Things

One: If you read this website in a feedreader, you might not have noticed, but I made a new masthead for July, and you are going to like it, so please click on through. I would like to assure you, though, that the elder woman pictured in it is not me for at least another forty-five years.

Two: It is time once again for this week's call for submissions for Five Star Friday. Let a blogger know that they're special.

Three: I lied about only wanting you to know three things.

Four: I will be in San Francisco for BlogHer '08 in two weeks. Have I mentioned that I suffer from social anxiety? I am not freaking out Ia mno tfrea kingo utIamn otfrea kingout Iamnotfreakingout.

delurking to say I totally heart you and and if I were going to be in SF in two weeks I would buy you a coffee.
And if you ever come to Idaho I will buy you coffee :) Or flowers. Or something nice :)
Just cause you make me smile :)

Oh, and I also meant to say that I like your new masthead. Cause I do :)

The snoring? A startling (but nice) touch. Wait. There's snoring, right? Barely audible, but there. Right?!

Thursday, July 3, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAngela

Angela, I seriously didn't intend snoring when you hover over the ear in the masthead. Can you shoot video of this? Because if I caused it, I want to know how I did it!

The masthead? Fantastic.

I don't know about snoring near the masthead, but if you come to DC I'll buy you two coffees. Or, to soothe your social anxiety, a good vat of beer? Or do you do mixed drinks? Have no drugs. OK, so now I lost you to Savia. Well, $3.50 unspent is $3.50 earned.

You can attend BlogHer for SA-stricken people everywhere so we don't have to. Whoo-hoo! :)

Alas, I can't hear the snoring. But I do like the new masthead. I especially like the color-coordinated touch in the lettering. I like. The content is also pretty good. /deadpan/ :)

I was going to offer to overlook you hovering in a corner of the lobby if you do freak out, but it seems like I've lost my chance to decide whether or not to go because registration is closed! So I'll just wave at you-all from a few miles south and hope you have a blast.

I like the new masthead, too. Has a very Eleanor Roosevelt feel to it, who strikes me as a Schmutzie kind of broad. :-)

The snoring occurs when you hover near the edge of the page. (It looks like it's when I go over my bookmarked pages, but it honestly happens only when I'm on the Schmutzie page.)

I wish I knew what browser Angela is using because I could not make it snore no how no way. Also? I think most bloggers have social anxiety, it would explain the hours spent in pajamas at the keyboard.

If you didn't have anxiety you wouldn't be you and that would be a shame! Nice wrinkles!

Thursday, July 3, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterakakarma

akakarma, those aren't my wrinkles in that masthead, I swear! Those belong to an older woman I know who has 45 years on me.

Thursday, July 3, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSchmutzie

Oooohhhh- so those are my wrinkles? ;)

Thursday, July 3, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterakakarma

That is a stunning picture, and I love the font, too.

Also, I hear there's a scientific study that proves that beers with awesome bloggers cures social anxiety.

Oh you so know that I am right there with you in the social anxiety camp. I just refilled several prescriptions in anticipation.

I find it almost comical that I need to be drugged in order to have a conversation.

Oddly, I really like the new masthead. No really, I find that odd.

And as for BlogHer, breathe. I went last year and I only quasi knew one person. And by "knew" I mean, had a mad crush on her but was rather confident the sentiment was not shared. Anyway, turns out any fears and hesitations were all for naught. Think of it as overnight camp with liquor.

Looking forward to meeting you! Oh yeah, I'm tracking you down at BlogHer.
