50x365 #280: L. D. W.

When you showed up in my grade four class as a student teacher, I was immediately infatuated with you. I loved you as fully and unconsciously as only a nine-year-old with a fresh heart can. I still have your autograph on brown construction paper in a box in the closet.

I am a participant in x365 and Blog 365.

This is so unbelievably touching.

And so eerily pulled from my own past.

The only difference, really, is my keepsake autograph is fading on the side of a white weiner dog with a felt tip pen stuck in his collar, languishing up in my attic.
