Does Size Matter?

I just have to interject with a quick question, because it's been on my mind lately.

Do you see this font size here? The one that you are looking at right now? Is it too large? Or is it just right? Here, I will offer you some comparison:

I am considering using this size of font from now on, because it looks more sophisticated or something. What do you think?

I feel like an optometrist. Which one is better? The first one? Or the second one?

It's just right (not an option when voting).

Clean and crisp.

We are old. Help us. Bigger is better.

I read it in Google Reader, so it doesn't matter to me. It is all the same in the reader.

I read too quickly and didn't realize that is was FONT size we were discussing. Sorry. :-)

I think by our answers you will be able to tell who is over 40...

Bigger please.

I should send you a picture of my reading glasses for your collections. They are sparkley.

I voted for "bigger" but I don't find the smaller one unreadable. The bigger one is just slightly more readable.

Bigger is easier to read, but smaller feels more intimate.

I agree that the smaller font looks more sophisticated. I see it all the time on blogs, and I'm always saying to myself, "This blog is more sophisticated than mine."

But I usually skip half the post when the font is too small, so I suggest keeping it bigger.
