50x365 #65: J's Shannon

I gave you a journal to welcome you to your new city when we first met . You immediately took me to your room and told me eating disorder and abuse stories. You were an open wound surrounded by flashing lights. Your vulnerable eyes were an arrow saying “Hurt me here”.

I have known several of these woman.....I wanted to fix them, but eventually realized that they have to fix themselves.

Oh, I love that last line. I had a roommate like this in college. She dropped out about two months into the semester. Sad case.
