Grace In Small Things: Part 10 of 365

Tuesday, December 2, 2008   ·
1. I finished my first serious structural crochet project, and numb fingers and sore arms were very much worth it. (Pictures later.)

2. I bought provolone cheese just so that I could hear the Italian lady behind the counter say "provolone".

3. I repeatedly kicked the cat off my lap, telling him that he smelled like old gym socks, and when I later learned that it was the provolone and not he that stank, he still came back for a good long cuddle.

4. I remembered to eat, which is good to do at least once every three days. (Don't worry, I smacked my own head after that one.)

5. I managed to restrain my spending for once and did not blow a bunch of money on lomographic cameras.

Wage a battle against embitterment and take part in 365 days of Grace in Small Things.

I am enjoying Grace in Small Things SO much- reading yours, yes, but actually doing mine is REALLY helping me not despair right now.

My husb. has a provolone joke: When you laugh, the world laughs with you. When you prov, you provolone. Ba-dump-bump-bump.

Please do post the pictures. As another crochet-er just getting into structural items, I need to see other's successes. To know it's possible.

Umm, maybe kitty deserves some provolone. And to the earlier post, Fotie, um, NO!

Hmm - what is "structural crochet"?

And how many syllables were in her "provolone"?

Magpie, I'll be showcasing my foray into structural crochet on my website later today, so you'll get to see what I mean.

There were four syllables in "provolone" when she said it. It sounded beautiful.
