This is not funny to me. What is it? I never liked Garfield and now I can't even appreciate the surreal Garfield without Garfield. Why? What is wrong with me?

I remember once watching someone read Garfield and laugh and I did not understand. I felt like such a space alien--for who could not even smile at the antics of that wry cat? It's painful that I cannot even enjoy this incarnation of Garfield which in theory seems like something magnificent.
