My New Etsy Shop
Saturday, November 24, 2007
I have gone and done it. I have finally opened up an Etsy shop of my very own to sell stuff. At some point, there may be more than just photographs for sale, but for now I am selling twenty-one different 8"x10" and 5"x7", black-and-white and colour, matte, bordered photographs for $15 and $20 a piece.I meant to do something like this much earlier, but every time the thought ran through my mind, I could not think of how to go about it. I do not know what has happened to my brain, but something has gone terribly awry with it, because, seriously, there are a thousand ways to go about selling just about anything you want to sell online. Over these last many months, how is it that I could not think up with a single solution to this?
I am devolving. Pretty soon, I will be communing with the bath sponge.
I would love your feedback about this new endeavor, except if it is mean. Play nice, or I will schluck out your eyes with a spork.
I am a participant in NaBloPoMo.

When I'm 65 years old and they let me have a credit card again, I would like to start my own Etsy shop.
I can vouch for Schmutzie, I bought a couple of prints last year before she started officially selling them, and they are awesome. Congratulations!
Ooh! Cool. Super cool. What I love LOVE about your photos is that the images are all somewhat unexpected but no less beautiful for all that.
Cards need to be next. Also, more photos. Get to it! Build the Schmutzie empire.
Hey the site looks great. Of course it helps that you have awesome photos to sell. Three cheers for a Schmutzie Empire! Congrats!
Youse got splorks? Awesome.
I love your pictures. I am so pumped that you are finally selling them online. Congrats and may your work hang in every house.
I'm so going to look - I need something beautiful and new in my life. It'll be my Christmas present from Mr. Hot. Who is beautiful, but not new.
Your photos are beautiful! I suggest you add a watermark or copyright to each online image though. People have been known to copy and print out images off the internet and pass them off as their own. The losers! You can't make much money that way.
love the pics. and think it is fab you're selling them. best of luck with your new venture.
(and I want to come back and buy one or two when I can)
Way to go! I think this is a wonderful idea ... as someone above mentioned, think about getting cards made too. I like the woman lighting a cig photograph. The shadows are wonderful!
Your watermark is way too cute. And I love the button you made for your store, and the masthead, and...
